First, I want to thank you for visiting my website! It’s truly an honor to provide information as you navigate through the beautiful world of aerial arts.
Believe it or not, my athletic career started much later in life. Desperate to lose baby weight after two, (soon to be three), wonderful pregnancies, I reluctantly joined my first gym. This was not love at first sight! Overtime, I began to gain strength, confidence and a desire to do more. Fitness and nutrition were changing my life and overall well-being in ways I never imagined possible. My organic progressions led me to yoga. Yoga provided me with the physical and emotional challenges I needed to grow. It was a personal and deeply emotional journey with movement that taught me to respect my body. I had to accept things I could not change about myself, while celebrating my success and growth.
It was this passion for movement that would soon change my life forever. Three years ago, I stumbled upon an aerial silks class and was excited for the challenge. Nothing about it was easy for me, yet I simply couldn’t get enough. Needing more, I searched out all the studios in California and traveled for classes. Followed by trips to Las Vegas for private training with performers in the circus industry. My husband installed a rig in our home, so I could practice day and night. That led to a second and larger rig installed in a converted office in our private business. All of these things created the pathway for my Aerial Silks I teacher training in June of 2019 through Vamps Aerial Dance in Austin, Texas.
My sincere desire is to share my passion for aerial acrobatics with anyone looking to build confidence. I believe that each and every one of us deserves the chance to fly freely, regardless of shape, gender or fitness ability. When you fly with me, we will celebrate your strengths and honor your weaknesses. We need them both to organically grow!
